Most men can’t tell you their great-grandfather’s name. Why is that?

The World According to Dan answer: their great-grandfathers either didn’t do anything worth remembering, or they weren’t concerned about being remembered by their great-grandchildren.

I refuse to let that be my story.

Legacy Bourbon is about a man who changed his family tree, broke the generational curses, and changed the trajectory of everyone who has the last name Grieb.

Each bottle carries a story. When a friend gives me one, I take a photo with them and write in my journal what they mean to me. Every bottle becomes more than bourbon; it becomes a memory, a friendship, and a story to tell about people who cared about their legacy.

For fifty years after my death, Legacy Bourbon will be released through my estate. Each year on my birthday, bottles will be shared and the stories of those who shaped my life will be read, so my family can raise a glass to the man who changed the family tree, broke the generational curses, and left a legacy of faith, family, and love.

I want my life to be remembered like bourbon. It perseveres, stays consistent, carries weight, can be hard to swallow at times, but when it’s brought out, it creates conversation, laughter, and connection.

That’s my bourbon. That’s my legacy.
